Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal assistance.
- Support residents with mobility and ensure their physical needs are met.
- Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records of any treatments or care provided.
- Engage with residents in activities and conversations to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean and sanitary environment for residents by following facility protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care plans tailored to individual residents.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification as a nursing assistant or similar is a plus.
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to exhibit patience, empathy, and compassion when dealing with residents.
- Basic understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
