Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the administration of medications to residents, ensuring compliance with prescribed dosages and schedules. As a Med Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of those in your care.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents according to the physician's orders
- Maintain precise records of medication administration and track residents' medication schedules
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavioral status to the nursing staff
- Assist with daily living activities and provide supportive care for residents as needed
- Ensure safe storage and handling of medications
- Participate in training and development sessions to stay current with healthcare practices and state regulations
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification as a Medication Aide or Assistant, as per state regulations
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and compassion
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
