TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Sr. VP of Operations to join the leadership team in North Carolina

North Carolina area home base required.

The SVP of Operations is responsible for leading and directing the organization to operational excellence and financial success through strategic initiatives. This role oversees asset management, capital planning, resident care and quality assurance, culinary, and regional operations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leads, consults and mentor Operational leaders including VPs and AVPs of Resident Care and Quality Assurance, Asset Management, Capital Planning, and Regional Operational Leaders throughout Discovery portfolio.
  • Refines and implement business plans to enhance the financial performance of communities/regions to ensure strategic growth.
  • Through subordinates, ensures utilization of expense management system and discipline throughout the organization. 
  • Builds and maintains relationships with capital partners and key stakeholders.  Key point of contact for escalated situations.
  • Represents the organization during the evaluation with potential new capital partners and/or opportunities. 
  • Oversees Flexchoice program, evaluating effectiveness and refinement of economics.
  • Through subordinates, oversees CAPEX process and program.
  • Provides input to senior team regarding new brands and products such as Choreography.  
  • Works with members of the Executive Team in policy matters and major decisions impacting Discovery Senior Living.
  • The primary leader for establishing with senior management team budgets for each enterprise within the organization
  • Manages the organization’s operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies
  • Communicates a clear, resident focused vision
  • Reviews annual resident satisfaction survey. Oversees development and deployment of programs to ensure and increase resident satisfaction.
  • Manages and oversees the regional operational leaders holding team accountable for achievement of specific and organization wide goals.
  • Develops plan to meet NOI expectations.
  • Ensures budgeted revenue is achieved or exceeded by maximizing occupancy
  • Develops and executes plans to increase occupancy
  • Reviews monthly financial statements, implements plans of action with Regional DOs for deficiencies
  • Maintains strong knowledge of competition
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and/or manage efforts related to recruitment, hiring, employee relations and separations of operational leadership in accordance with policy.
  • Responsible for delegating authority, responsibility and accountability to the responsible leader. 
  • Lead the Operations team in support of the mission and values of the organization in accordance with community values.
  • Promote development of team management skills, capabilities and sharing of best practices through participation in and leadership within organization. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Masters Degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a Senior Living leadership role with budgetary, financial and occupancy responsibilities

Frequent Travel is required.
