Area Regional Nurse

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Area Regional Nurse to join our communities in North Carolina, servicing our communities in the greater Raleigh-Durham and surrounding areas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Travels to assigned community to provide clinical and collaborative support.
  • Travel may include overnights with up to 40% of the time, based upon business needs.
  • Ensures that community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting occurrence trends, and if necessary, develop/implement improvement plans as assigned.
  • Partners with Executive Director /Administrator and other team members to analyze and maintain all resident and team member health safety.
  • Partners with DHW and pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
  • Collaborates and reviews infection control programming in community.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient distribution/administration of injections, nebulizers, moderate wound care per state regulations as needed.
  • In collaboration with DHW and Executive Director, identifies ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/ Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
  • Supports the DHW with completion of the monthly updates and reporting to the responsible party.
  • Partners with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential change in service/medication levels and updates the resident’s service plan and DSL assessment as indicated by state regulations.
  • Participates in community awareness activities and community relations as needed.
  • Maintains and coordinates communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
  • Informs the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform Cart audits and develops plan of correction as needed.
  • Facilitate or coordinate Med Tech education / certification
  • Perform mock audit, assessment and plan of corrections for Survey preparation and readiness
  • Provides support to the community during DHW vacancies 
  • If required, this position may need to support additional Regions

Qualifications:

  • Maintains current state license as a Professional Registered Nurse per state regulations.
  • Experience in assisted living required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse.
  • One (1) year nursing management experience.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of state regulations
  • Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up and collaboration, and solution development.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
